Distribution System

Our water flows thru 34+/- miles of water mains to reach our customers.

The transmission portion of our water mains run along Route 1A and Route 1 in Stockton Springs and Searsport and end at the Belfast/Searsport town line on Route 1. At that point, the Searsport Water District and the Belfast Water District share an Emergency Interconnect Facility where both systems are connected to each other. This Emergency Interconnect allows both, Belfast and Searsport, the ability to provide each other with water in the event of an emergency.
